What is BNI?

BNI, or Business Network International, is an international business organization and the world’s largest networking group. It was founded in the USA in 1985 by Dr. Ivan Misner and currently operates in 76 countries. BNI was introduced to Poland in 2006 by Grzegorz Turniak, who developed it until 2013. Currently, the CEO of BNI Poland is Ryszard Chmura, who has managed ten rapidly growing marketing companies throughout his career.

The organization operates based on seven core values. The first of these is the Givers Gain® philosophy, which means “Those Who Give, Receive.” According to this principle, entrepreneurs share their experiences or client contacts with others. In return, they receive similar support from fellow BNI members. This encourages entrepreneurs to engage in more active collaboration.

The other core values of BNI include building lasting relationships, training and education, tradition and innovation, a positive attitude, recognizing others’ efforts, and business responsibility. BNI organizes training sessions and workshops (primarily focused on increasing sales through referrals and networking skills) as well as national business conferences, such as the Growth Experts Academy.

This ensures referrals can be shared without conflicts of interest or competition for clients.
