The device can operate in two modes

As an extractor: fumes are extracted outside the room by means of an exhaust pipe. The discharge pipe is not included with the device and must be purchased separately.

As an absorber: the fumes are cleaned of grease and odors before they are returned to the room through the grilles in the upper cowl of the chimney. In order for the hood to work as an absorber, a carbon filter must be installed. The carbon filter is not standard equipment, it must be purchased from the seller.
